The console is a very powerful tool in any game, especially Team Fortress 2. The console enables you to make quick changes to settings, execute configuration files and much much more! The game by default doesn’t come with it enabled, so you will have to enable it. I will show you how and where this feature can be enabled or disabled in a short tutorial designed by myself.

Here are the steps:

1. Load Team Fortress 2.

2. Once loaded, click on “Options”.

3. Then click on the “Keyboard” tab and click the “Advanced” button.

4. Then check to enable the option “Developer Console”.

5. Now, when in game, simple push the “~” key located by “TAB” and it will activate the console. ** Press it again to remove it.

Alternative Method:

1. Right click on Team Fortress 2 on your steam application and go to “Properties”.
