This has been a large discussion in competitive play since the release of Team Fortress 2. I personally think there is no need for them in League/Competitive play, but don’t see an issue on public servers. Well, without further ado, Bennet of trypants.com has announced the release of “TFTrue Plugin”. The plugin introduces 2 new cvars aimed to allow you to enable or disable the ability of using Critical Shots in-game.

Directly from Trypants.com Forums:

TFTrue is a Critical Hit and Friendly Fire management plugin that is being released to the public.

The plugin will introduce two new cvars that allow you to turn on or off the TF2 Critical Hit System or Friendly Fire on your server. This plugin is not meant for public server use, it’s being introduced so that league/competition teams can try the game in what many feel is a format more suited to balanced competitive play.

Respawn timers and class limits are also being explored although no date has been set for inclusion into the plugin.

There will be a public server up some time tonight with the plugin so you can test it out yourself and we expect a public release by this Sunday.
