I’ve noticed that a lot of users and servers have questions about how to configure there server, but not knowing what type of commands change certain things. I found this great thread on a list of commands and a brief explanation by a poster named “Muppet”. I just modified the structure a little bid, but regardless I give credit to Muppet!
hostname “Team Fortress 2 Insidier” // This is your server name as shown in the server list
sv_password “” // Your server password. Leaving it empty between the quotes means it will be public and unlocked.
rcon_password “tf2insider” // This is your password to access server side commands
sv_rcon_banpenalty 5 // Number of minutes to ban users who fail rcon authentication
sv_rcon_maxfailures 10 // Max number of times a user can fail rcon authentication before being bannedmp_autoteambalance 1 // 0 is off and 1 is on. if 1 then should be used in conjunction with the following 3 commands
